C'mon Zaadelites...what are you afraid of?

It's interesting, I took a look through my posts and saw how many views each had and how few comments(if any) they had as well. The lack of expression or offered reflection(and I don't mean comments like "Great post!" or "Thank you for posting this, it really made my day!"), possibly denotes a lack of interest in the material or maybe an unwillingness to honestly share what is felt or to look and see what is felt. And no, this isn't an 'either/or', just idle speculation on and questioning of possibilities. Since I don't know, because there aren't many comments. Not that there is really an expectation that one 'should respond', but I find it a little questionable with thousands of views that there is nothing to say.

Another interesting thing I found was that the post Mother Teresa on Giving Freely got 5,631 views and only 1(really good) comment.

Another speculation: people look for 'positive' words of inspiration to give them hope or
'something', but this post perhaps wasn't offering what they expected or wanted to hear and
also touched upon a subject here at Zaadz that gets shied away from or rationalized I feel:
money and 'spirituality'.

Perhaps 5,630 people viewed it and didn't really feel a need to post or not post, that it just didn't occur to them, but really, I doubt that.

So I ask again: What are you afraid of? What keeps from opening the conversation, offering a look from within and beneath identified beliefs?

And perhaps even more: What are you really here for? To hear some 'words of encouragement'? For 'networking'? To 'get' something? What are you willing to 'give'?

Well, I may not be necessarily offering what is thought to be wanted, but who knows what's possible once there is an open conversation. These may even become obsolete, unnecessary, or get refined in a way that is unimaginable.

I'm sticking around Zaadz for now, there continues to be some interactions and willingness of expression beyond 'self-promotion'. I enjoy reading blogs and offering what I can, when I can, but this comment in The Field of Zaadz, capitalism and the questioning of intention really resonates...

From ex-Zaadz member/friend Katranon:
"you know, i’d much rather be part of a community website that is a networking tool for people who are seeking to live outside of capitalism, creating new societal structures, working to promote public awareness in social justice issues, and about the vast myriad of environmental issues and helping people to step out of the destructive machinery of consumerism that is quickly destroying all life on the planet. do you know if a web community like this already exists?"

Oh...and as of this edit, minutes from the original post, there are already 17 views and no comments. I've said all I have to say on that for now...so 'no comment'.   ;^)

Peace, SKeye

(7/12/07 P.S.: I had someone tell me today that they found my blog post from researching on the internet. I forgot these come up on internet search engines and are not just available to zaadelites online. Could this be the reason Mother Teresa got so many views?  :)  But honestly, all these views could not be from just internet searches, could they? Hmm... )

The irony is that I've been looking for a post that “speaks to me”.  This did quite clearly since this is my first comment, my first attempt to write since becoming a member.  So, “what am I afraid of?” - Not sure that it's fear, more lack of direction in simply not knowing where to even start.  I'd rather not be the person who simply superficially notes “nice post” – but by the same token, I have no experience in tranferring what to date have been simply (“simply”???) intensely personal journal writings into a “public” format.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to cop out.  I'm just limited in how I can actually communicate a passion for ecstasy in all moments to a dead computer screen.  I don't know “how” to do it, which is quite different from whether I have the desire to do it.  And trust me, I'd love a mentor for this because I DO have a lot I want to say, do, experience, share …………….

Hey, Skeye.

I hear you.

I feel this way every time I make a barbecue post, and I know factually that I am not the only flesh-eater in Zaadzonia.

I'm kickin' around some ideas on dis-integralation myself these days.

Oh, and I am not a life coach.  But I have coached some little league football here and there,

John

Thanks for the responses.   :)

If you haven't yet, please scan the rest of my blog posts and see if anything else there does. These are more questioning and investigative, and what I am wondering is if there are issues in them that people are afraid of to really look at and possibly offer some reflections on.

John: 'dis-integralation'???

The whole notion that if we invent a new schema to deconstruct heirarchy we're bound to slap another heirarchy on top of the old one.  Integral theory as the new mantra of the lesser gods.

I think we should emulate the dolphin and the bear, make love and scratch our butts as often as possible, and have fun, and cry, and laugh, and make war only when it is absolutely necessary.

All children are precious, so-called indigo or not, you know?

Yes, thank you John I agree….Integral theory is just as susceptable to Heirarchy and corruption as much as anything else, because it is still based on conceptuality to be identified with and adhered to, a learned 'knowledge', rather than an unfolding of conscious action based on the inherent wisdom of all beings realized from 'within', not 'without'.

So emulation is unnecessary, but 'alignment' is possible.   :)

Yes, all is precious….

I haven't looked at your other posts yet, but let me presumptively *grin* comment.  I'm sure there ARE comments that people are afraid of responding to.  I also know that for me, a thoroughly ostracised geek over the years, to comment in this format rather than privately is a bit like stepping out onto a high dive: it could be the thrill of your life or the equivalent of walking the plank.

Now, having said that, what I appreciated greatly about your post and what prompted me to comment was the attitude you conveyed.  While I'm sure you're frustrated, unlike the quotation you presented from Katranon, your post came across as inquisitive rather than aggressive.  I handle enough aggression toward my personal thoughts on a daily basis without subjecting myself to them voluntarily in this format.  And again, not that I'm saying that I shouldn't be challenged - quite the contrary!  But simply joining Zaadz gave me a step toward contemplation, which should preceed communication far more often than it does.

So I look forward to reading (and commenting upon ;-)  your other posts.  Thanks for the impetus to dive!

Hugs!   Ayasofya
